<p>Cerebral venous thrombosis is a type of stroke associated with a hypercoagulable state, such as in hematologic disorders, systemic disease, head and neck&#xa0;infections, and central nervous system infections. Cryptococcal meningitis is an opportunistic fungal infection commonly found in immunocompromised individuals, caused by <i>Cryptococcus neoformans</i>. Both conditions overlap in symptomatology, with headache being the most common symptom. We present a case of a 23-year-old female with a 3-week history of severe headache with associated seizures, who was found to have concomitant cerebral venous thrombosis and cryptococcal meningitis. She was started on anticoagulation and antifungal medications, but ultimately expired days after the diagnosis. Cryptococcal meningitis and cerebral venous thrombosis are two conditions that present with the same symptoms and can occur simultaneously. Clinical deterioration in either condition should warrant additional investigation since the coexistence of both conditions has a poor prognosis. Early recognition is essential to initiate timely intervention and prevent poor outcomes.</p>
