<p>Cognitive decline is more common in the elderly population and may not only affect the quality of life, but also increase the burden on the family. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between the relevant indicators of comprehensive assessment and cognitive function in the elderly. We conducted a cross-sectional study on 140 elderly patients in the Geriatrics Department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University from June 2019 to June 2020. All elderly patients aged 65&#xa0;years or older who have complete comprehensive geriatric assessment data and agree to participate in the study are included in the study. Use multivariate logistic regression analysis to determine the relationship between comprehensive geriatric assessment parameters and cognitive decline. There are 38 cases (27.1%) in the cognitive decline group, with a median age of 80.89&#xa0;years and 102 cases (72.9%) in the group with normal cognitive function, with a median age of 75.97&#xa0;years. The group with cognitive decline was more prone to malnutrition and depression, and the proportion of frailty in the group with cognitive decline was higher. The results of the stepwise regression analysis indicated that age and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) were significantly correlated with cognitive decline (<i>P</i> &lt; 0.05). Our results show that age and SDS were associated with cognitive decline in senile patients. Comprehensive geriatric assessment can help identify cognitive decline in older adults at an early stage.</p>
