<p>Fennel (<i>Foeniculum vulgare</i> L.) is an important herb plant that is widely grown for both culinary and medicinal purposes in Nepal. The association of <i>Alternaria alternata</i> with leaf blight symptoms on the fennel plant was confirmed by pathogenicity test together with morphological and molecular characterisation for the first time in Nepal. The current report will allow the development of appropriate management options for this disease in Nepal.</p>

摘要

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare L.) is an important herb plant that is widely grown for both culinary and medicinal purposes in Nepal. The association of Alternaria alternata with leaf blight symptoms on the fennel plant was confirmed by pathogenicity test together with morphological and molecular characterisation for the first time in Nepal. The current report will allow the development of appropriate management options for this disease in Nepal.
