<p>Citrus black spot is an important disease of citrus. It is currently mainly managed by the use of fungicides. The objective of this study was to evaluate the antifungal effects of three medicinal plants extracts on <i>P. citricarpa</i>. The in vitro tests showed the efficacy of aqueous, methanolic and petroleum ether extracts of <i>S. officinalis</i> and <i>R. officinalis</i>. The in vivo tests revealed that <i>S. officinalis</i> extracts were effective against all isolates. The methanol extract reduced the diameter of browning by 44.73%, 23.52%, 20.83% and 42.55% for the isolates CBS1, CBS2, CBS3 and CBS5 respectively. The petroleum ether extract also exhibited significant inhibition, ​​ranging from 40.42% (CBS5) to 25% (CBS3). The aqueous extract inhibited the browning diameter by 44.73%, 61.76%, 25% and 55.31% for CBS1, CBS2, CBS3 and CBS5 isolates respectively. For <i>R. officinalis</i>, the methanolic extract showed significant inhibition for CBS1 (47.36%), CBS5 (40.42%) and CBS2 (29.41%) isolates. Ethyl acetate extract showed a high inhibitory activity for CBS2 (44.11%), CBS3 (29.16%) and CBS5 (40.42%) isolates. The inhibition of petroleum ether extract ranged from 52.63% to 12.50% for the CBS1 and CBS3 isolates respectively. Future studies should evaluate the most effective extracts on infested citrus in orchard.</p>
