<p>Arunachal Pradesh, a globally recognized biodiversity hotspot, provides a favorable environment for foliar fungal pathogens, including cercosporoid fungi, due to its hot and humid climate. Frogeye leaf spot (FLS), caused by <i>Cercospora capsici</i> Cooke, is a significant disease affecting king chilli, leading to substantial yield losses. This study, conducted from 2022 to 2025, aimed to identify resistant sources by evaluating 18 landraces along with a susceptible check. The per cent disease index (PDI) varied from 3.0 to 92.21%. While none of the landraces exhibited complete immunity, IC654093 was identified as highly resistant, and IC654104 showed moderate resistance. These resistant landraces would serve as valuable genetic resources for developing FLS-resistant king chilli varieties through future breeding programs.</p>
