<p>The stink bug complex is considered one of the most important pests of common bean worldwide. They are responsible for sucking the contents of the beans and act as vectors for pathogens. The study investigates whether <i>Nezara viridula</i> and <i>Piezodorus guildinii</i> transmit <i>Eremothecium</i> sp. to common bean grains. Microscopic examination revealed characteristic features of the microorganism, with the ‘Chévere’ cultivar exhibiting the highest damage. Conversely, <i>P. guildinii</i> did not transmit <i>Eremothecium</i> sp. to any cultivar. Further analysis revealed that 74.17% of <i>N. viridula</i> individuals carried of <i>Eremothecium</i> sp. in contrast to its absence in <i>P. guildinii</i>. These findings emphasize the role of <i>N. viridula</i> in the spread of <i>Eremothecium</i> sp. and highlight potential negative implications for common bean cultivation.</p>
