摘要

Field experiments were conducted with mungbean crop variety IPM-02-14 at Regional Research and Technology Transfer Station, Bhawanipatna, OUAT, Odisha, during Rabi seasons of 2021-22 and 2022-23, evaluating the impact of certain fungicides and bioagents on disease severity and yield parameters. Results indicated that different fungicide treatments effectively reduced powdery mildew incidence, with a notable decrease in disease severity compared to control plots. Under field conditions, three times foliar spray of combination of broad-spectrum systemic fungicides, Trifloxystrobin and Tebuconazole at 0.5 g/L at 10 days interval, starting after disease initiation was found to be best with lowest PDI (5.78%) and highest yield (927.33 kg/ha). Operating as a quinone outside inhibitor (QoI), Trifloxystrobin disrupts fungal respiration by inhibiting electron transport in the mitochondria, thus stifling energy production and acting as a demethylation inhibitor (DMI), Tebuconazole interferes with ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cell membranes, weakening their structure and permeability.
