Morpho-molecular characterization reveals some interesting macrofungi from the cold arid region of Kargil, India
摘要
In the present investigation, morphological and phylogenetic characterization of four mushroom species has been characterized. Out of them, Aleuria aurantia is a member of Pezizomycotina while other three (Bovista plumbea, Entoloma incanum and Lepiota cristata) belong to the subdivision Agaricomycotina. Aleuria aurantia, Entoloma incanum and Lepiota cristata constitute regional record for the macrofungal flora of the region. This study provides insights about the diversity of macro fungi from cold arid habitats and confirm that they occupy diverse niches in the region. All taxa described herein are based on morphotaxonomical examination of fresh specimens supported by nrITS molecular phylogenies.
