Improving the Perception in Magnetism of Primary-, Middle-, and High-School Students
摘要
This work addresses the research gap of the lack of systematic organization of information and comprehensive resources on magnetism, as well as inadequately investigated misconceptions at all levels of education. The research questions focused on improving the understanding of magnetism through an interactive online platform, addressing resource shortages and misconceptions, and evaluating its effectiveness. The methodology included the development of the website “Magnetism World”, covering the phenomenon from the macro- to the nanoscale, with interactive quizzes, games and videos. 395 primary/secondary students participated. The data was collected through electronic questionnaires and analyzed statistically. The main findings showed that the platform significantly improved the understanding and it reduced misconceptions, with participants achieving high average scores. No statistically significant differences in performance were observed between pupils of different levels of education. The contribution is to provide a comprehensive, innovative digital tool to enhance magnetism education by promoting active learning.
