Synthesis of Gumghatti Grafted Poly-N-Isopropyl Acrylamide/-O-MWCNT for the Assessment of Adsorption of Metomorfin Hydrochloride (MF) and Sodium Decofane (SD)
摘要
The manufacturing and consumption of pharmaceuticals have been increased worldwide which eventually led the water pollution. To make water free from such pharmaceuticals by adsorption process is great demanded at present time. The synthesis of adsorbent of gum ghatti grafted of poly-N-isopropyl acrylamide was done using APS as an initiator and cross-linked using methylenebisacrylamide (MBA). Prepared GG-g-PNIPAM loaded with oxidized multiwall carbon nanotube (-o-MWCNT) in situ. Results of swelling property of synthesized materials were evaluated and material named GNIPACNT-3 (GG-g-PNIPAM/-o-MWCNT (30 mg) showed highest swelling capacity and that is chosen as an adsorbent for the simultaneous adsorption of diclofenac sodium (DCF) and metformin hydrochloride(MF) drugs under varied conditions. GNIPACNT-3 showed good adsorption capacity for DCF and moderate adsorption capacity for MF drugs.
