<p>We report the degradation performance of eco-friendly zinc oxide (ZnO)-based photocatalysts combined with natural zeolites to optimize the removal of diazinon, a commonly used pesticide in the contaminated water. The ZnO/zeolite composite was thoroughly characterized using SEM-EDX, XRD, and FTIR to confirm its structural properties and material distribution, while UV-Vis spectrophotometry was employed to assess diazinon sorption. The results indicated that diazinon degradation efficiency increased with extended irradiation time and higher initial concentrations, with optimal adsorption at neutral pH. Under optimal conditions (pH 7, catalyst dosage of 30&#xa0;mg, 10 ppm diazinon concentration, and 150&#xa0;min of irradiation), the ZnO/zeolite composite demonstrated outstanding performance, reaching a maximum removal rate of about 86.1%. These findings highlight the considerable potential of ZnO/zeolite composites as effective agents for diazinon removal and providing promising candidates for environmental remediation.</p>
