摘要

Pulmonary disorders present significant challenges in healthcare, necessitating the development of innovative therapeutic approaches. Nanomedicine has emerged as a promising field with the potential to revolutionize the management of such disorders. Inhalable nanoparticles offer an enticing treatment option for respiratory conditions, including infections, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and lung cancer. These nanoparticles possess unique characteristics that enhance drug availability, improve solubility, and protect against enzymatic degradation. Moreover, they enable targeted drug delivery to the lungs, reducing systemic toxicity and minimizing adverse effects on other organs. This comprehensive review provides a detailed analysis of the diverse applications of nanomedicine in the management of pulmonary disorders. It explores the potential of various nanoparticulate systems, such as liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, nanosuspensions, nanoemulsions, nanospheres, nanoconjugates, nanoaggregates, and dendrimers, for treating pulmonary conditions. By highlighting the advancements in nanomedicine research, this review illuminates the potential of these systems for addressing various pulmonary disorders.
