Behandlung von chronischem Rückenschmerz mit expositionsgestützter Trauma-Akupunkturtherapie (EX.TRACT)
摘要
Chronic pain not only significantly reduces quality of life but often leads to psychological stress and triggers aversive feelings such as fear, anger, or sadness, which can be sustainably reduced with the exposure-based trauma acupuncture therapy (EX.TRACT) method.
Not only psychiatric illnesses, but also chronic pain, can be triggered or promoted by psychological trauma. Treating them with acupuncture is effective. Psychotherapeutic procedures can also alleviate chronic pain.
By treating the pain-associated traumas and the aversive emotions triggered by the pain, pain can be sustainably reduced. The EX.TRACT method, which combines acupuncture with trauma exposure and psychotherapy in five treatment steps, is very helpful here.
Treatment protocolIn a preliminary discussion, the central traumatizing situation is identified, which is then used as an image or imagination in acupuncture therapy. Physical complaints are also discussed.
In the acupuncture session, the overall constitution and physical complaints are treated first, and in this case report with a combined treatment of acupuncture, osteopathy, and manual therapy.
The patient is then asked to present the traumatic situation associated with the pain several times. The resulting physical discomfort and aversive feelings such as fear, anger and rage, sadness, disgust, and exhaustion are largely eliminated immediately using appropriate acupuncture points. In addition, the aversive feelings triggered by the imagination of the pain are eliminated in the same way, which in turn reduces the pain.
The aim of the therapy is to reduce the negative feelings and traumatic situations associated with the pain, thereby reducing the chronic pain.
Case reportThis case study presents a patient who has been suffering from chronic back pain for several years, which is associated with various psychologically stressful life events and causes significant anxiety in the patient.
It is shown how a complex combination of acupuncture with osteopathy, chirotherapy, and the EX.TRACT method can significantly reduce the chronic pain and improve quality of life.
