<p>In both traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine, physiological cyclical changes in women are taken into account in the treatment of gynecological diseases and the use of medication. In the acupuncture-assisted treatment of in vitro fertilization with embryo transfer (IVF-ET), “time” and “cycle” are also inextricably linked.</p><p>This article discusses clinical studies, the selection of acupuncture points, and the frequency of treatment. There are many acupuncture points to choose from, but the main principle of treatment is to supply the kidneys with energy and essence, strengthen the spleen Qi, and calm the stagnant liver. At the same time, certain acupuncture points are used according to the different physical conditions of different patients and the different states of the same patient during the treatment as well as the acupuncture points that are receptive at different times of the day.</p><p>Individual treatment plans that are adapted to the time and individual circumstances are the specialty of traditional Chinese medicine and at the same time the key to the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment and all methods of traditional Chinese medicine. More important than the correct selection of acupuncture points is the development of a complete treatment plan.</p>
