摘要

Based on Dr. Nogier’s ear cartography from the 1950s, the practice of ear acupuncture (auriculotherapy) follows various protocols. National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), Battlefield Acupuncture (BFA), and balanced ear acupuncture according to Seeber® have become more and more common in the United States and in Germany.

After more than 10 years of clinical use of and experience with the existing protocols at the Department of Complementary and Integrative Medicine, Evang. Kliniken Essen-Mitte, Germany, we developed a new method called RAVA® – Regulative and Vitalizing (Ear) Acupuncture. RAVA consists of three base points to regulate the triple heater (3E) and two individual ear acupuncture points. RAVA therefore combines the causal treatment of the triple heater (i.e., to affect the Qi flow and organ function) and a symptomatic approach, which can be individualized and adapted to the patient needs.
