摘要

Reinforced concrete is becoming a common building material due to urbanization and rising infrastructure needs. Large member sizes are provided by traditional design techniques to meet structural requirements. Significant structural components like slabs, beams, columns, foundations, and many more impact how much concrete and steel are used in construction, raising concerns about the necessity to use concrete and steel as efficiently as possible to lower the dead weight of the structure. The current analytical and numerical investigation aims to assess the outcomes. In this investigation, a bi-axial voided slab is usual. It removes the concrete from the slab's centre. The findings revealed that the most significant decrease in weight was 15%, the maximum rise in total deformation was 20%, the maximum reduction in equivalent strain was 77%, and the maximum decrease in equal stress was 72.4%. The outcomes met the requirements for strength and serviceability in this way.
