Wheat is an important food crop in the world, and the use of new-type fertilizers can enhance the economic benefits of wheat. To explore the impacts of different types of new fertilizer formulas on wheat production in the Shajiang black soil region of northern Anhui, a field experiment was conducted from 2020 to 2022. Annongda 1216 (medium gluten) was used as the tested wheat material. Six fertilizer treatments were set up, namely slow-release fertilizer (SRF), controlled-release fertilizer (CRF), stable fertilizer (SF), humic acid fertilizer (HAF), zinc-sulfur compound fertilizer (ZSF), and special fertilizer for wheat (SWF). The application amounts and measures of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium were the same for each treatment. The population structure, SPAD value of the flag leaf, dry matter accumulation and transportation, yield and yield components, as well as the grain quality of wheat at different growth stages after different fertilizer treatments were investigated. The results showed that the yields of wheat under the treatments of ZSF and HAF increased significantly. Specifically, compared with other fertilizers, ZSF increased the yield by 0.81% to 10.92% from 2020 to 2021 and by 5.07% to 15.15% from 2021 to 2022. Compared with other fertilizers, HAF increased the yield by 0.7% to 10.8% from 2020 to 2021 and by 4.65% to 14.69% from 2021 to 2022. In addition, compared with other fertilizers, ZSF and HAF increased the number of tillers and the leaf area index (LAI) of the population, enhanced the chlorophyll content SPAD of the flag leaf, increased the dry matter transportation amount before anthesis, the dry matter accumulation amount after anthesis, the duration of the grain-filling period, and increased the grain weight. In conclusion, the two treatments of new-type fertilizers, ZSF and HAF, have a promoting effect on the high-quality and efficient production of wheat in the Shajiang black soil region of northern Anhui. The results of this study provide a theoretical basis for the high-quality and high-yield production of wheat and are beneficial to the sustainable development of agriculture.

In conclusion, the two treatments of new-type fertilizers, ZSF and HAF, have a promoting effect on the high-quality and efficient production of wheat in the Shajiang black soil region of northern Anhui.
