<p>Determining the most accurate ceasing time for irrigation and nitrogen (N) fertilizer is essential for reaching high performance in sugarcane cultivars. Sugarcane traits analysis: Correlation between irrigation timing and nitrogen fertilizer effects. A study in southwestern Iran examined the effects of nitrogen fertilizer and irrigation timing on sugarcane yield and quality for the CP57-614 cultivar. The split-plot experiment, conducted in 2021–2022, used irrigation cessation as the main plot and nitrogen fertilizer as the subplot. Researchers measured agronomic traits and quality parameters to assess the impact of different treatments on sugarcane production. The highest single stalk weight was achieved with N fertilizer ceasing on June 10 and irrigation ceasing on September 22. The tallest cane was observed when N fertilizer ceased on June 24 and irrigation on September 30. The highest cane yield (130 t/ha) occurred with N fertilizer and irrigation cessation on June 24 and September 14, respectively. Highest Brix levels were found with N fertilizer ceasing on June 24 and irrigation on September 18–30. Maximum POL content was observed with N fertilizer ceasing on June 10 and irrigation on September 18. Strong positive correlations were found between cane yield and height (<i>r</i> = 0.84), and cane yield and single stalk weight (<i>r</i>=-0.71). Moderate positive correlations existed between POL and Brix (<i>r</i> = 0.69), and POL and purity (<i>r</i> = 0.36). Results indicated that delaying nitrogen fertilizer and early irrigation cessation (June 24 and September 14) optimized yield, POL, and purity for CP57-614, while conserving water use efficiency.</p>
