The Biological Reductionism of Eysenck’s Psychology
摘要
Professor Hans J. Eysenck is one of the best-known exponents of biological theories of personality in psychology. However, in many personality textbooks and recent articles, his theories are analysed without mentioning his socio-political views while they omit the openly racists and sexists views, he expressed on various issues. This omission does not allow for a comprehensive evaluation of Eysenck theory of personality and, above all, does not permit an understanding of the problems inherent in adopting excessive biologism, which often pervades the field of psychometrics in psychology today.
