摘要

This paper introduces a symbolic intervention method in psychotherapy—symbol installation—where emotionally resonant symbols are not interpreted but enacted and embedded through somatic ritual. Developed within the Sovereign Narrative Therapy (SNT) framework, this approach reconceptualizes symbols as functional tools that are bodily installed and pragmatically deployed during states of emotional activation. Rather than metaphors to be deciphered, these symbols become ritualized emotional technologies—interfaces between narrative identity and bodily regulation. Drawing on over a decade of clinical and autoethnographic practice, the paper outlines theoretical foundations and a structured protocol, illustrated with three composite case studies—Marcus (anger modulation), Cindy (trauma recovery), and Lisa (late-life narrative repair). The paper positions SNT as part of an evolving symbolic turn in psychotherapy, alongside traditions such as sandplay, psychodrama, and imaginal methods, while introducing new contributions: the concept of operator-installed recursion, a body-based verification framework, and symbolic usability metrics. Where traditional approaches lean on interpretation, SNT leans on installation. If the body accepts the symbol—and the ritual activates it under pressure—then the symbol does the work.
