International Psychology Advocacy for the Integration of Social Determinants of Health identified by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
摘要
Health inequity is pervasive, and at the same time, different perspectives of what “health” is change the definition of health inequity across cultures. That said, some lack access to healthcare, and during the pandemic, this has become even more evident. The noble goal of reaching health equity should guide efforts of psychologists, recognizing the integration of clinical care and population health within the framework of public health, in line with the SDG3, Good Health and Well-being and SDG10, Reduced Inequalities. Advocacy should recognize the sources of inequity related to the understanding of health and well-being from the perspective of Indigenous psychology, incorporating international insight on health inequity and perspectives from social epidemiology.
