The development of innovative contrast agents that can effectively detect and quantify biomarkers has the potential to transform how MRI is utilized in identifying, characterizing, and quantifying pathological tissue. Metal-organic frameworks (MOF) are among the most important new structures that have shown high potential in various industrial applications. Nanostructured MOFs with unique and diverse features can have great potential as contrast materials in MRI imaging. In this article, we explore the research surrounding the use of nanostructured MOFs as contrast agents for MRI imaging. Additionally, we delve into the limitations of this approach from multiple perspectives.</p>
