Aktuelle Herausforderungen in der Philosophie der Liebe und Sexualität
摘要
(Romantic) love and sexuality are undoubtedly of great existential importance for everyone. At the same time, they are embedded and determined by social norms and practices that vary culturally and historically. In recent years, there has been an increased philosophical interest in love and sexuality, relating to questions of their definition, their (moral) value, and their ethical as well as their social and political underpinnings. The contributions in this special issue reflect the diverse and complex relationships between love, sexuality, social norms, and identity. They encourage to put into question traditional concepts and social structures and to develop alternative approaches, and they illustrate how productive the current philosophical debate on love and sexuality is and what potential it offers for the further development of future discourses.
