Beziehungsanarchie – Liebe ist Liebesbeziehung

In Relationship Anarchy, the aim is for relationships to be freely negotiated between individuals without societal constraints, much like a buffet of open sandwiches (“Smörgåsbord”), where the ingredients of the relationship can be chosen together. A romantic love relationship is just one option for how a relationship can be structured. The focus of negotiating the shape of a relationship lies between the individuals involved, based on their own needs and values. Love serves as the foundation for all relationships, acting as the base ingredient—the bread—on which different types of relationships can be built, making Relationship Anarchy possible. In Relationship Anarchy, the definition of love is dynamic and individualized. Love is love relationship; love is a practice—a way of acting within an encounter that involves open and honest communication, care, acknowledgment and respect for differences, freedom and emancipation, mutual interest in spiritual growth, trust, vulnerability, and tenderness. A commitment to attuning to each other and turning toward one another with affection are key prerequisites.
