  • M. Rajesh

摘要

This paper examines the complexity of vulnerability, risk perception, and adaptation strategies in the context of climate change, with a focus on the coastal region of São Paulo, Brazil. By employing an interdisciplinary and multiscale approach, the study integrates diverse perspectives and methodologies to provide a comprehensive understanding of these concepts. The methodology includes a robust survey designed to assess risk perception and adaptation strategies, ensuring reliability and validity through pilot testing and stratified sampling. The findings highlight the importance of interdisciplinary work, integrated land use policies, and effective risk communication and governance. By incorporating empirical data and case studies, the paper offers practical examples to support its arguments. This research underscores the need for continued interdisciplinary research and policy development to enhance resilience and address climate-related risks and vulnerabilities comprehensively.
