Pankreaszysten – Was gibt es Neues?

  • Florian Rainer

摘要

For the first time, the new Kyoto guidelines offer an evidence-based framework alongside the European guidelines for the treatment of neoplastic pancreatic cysts. In summary, it can be said that a large proportion of the recommendations are still based on low-quality evidence and, therefore, the discussion of the findings with the patient and joint decision-making continue to be of great importance. Compared to the previous guidelines, endosonography and cyst fluid analysis has grown in importance, the indication for surgical treatment has been made more liberal and is, therefore, closer to the European guidelines. Even if there are several “worrisome features”, the patient can be offered surgical treatment following an individual risk assessment. Despite the progress described above, the care of patients with pancreatic cysts remains challenging. It is hoped that we will develop better diagnostic and prognostic tools in the coming years that will make it possible to better assess the risk of neoplastic pancreatic cysts.
