Chirurgischer Alltag: eine Übersicht über die neue deutsche S3-Leitlinie zur Divertikelkrankheit/Divertikulitis aus chirurgischer Sicht

The new German S3 guideline on diverticular disease provides clear recommendations for diagnosis, therapy and management of different courses of the disease. The individual adaptation of therapy according to the Classification of Diverticular Disease (CDD) allows for precise and effective treatment, with a focus on improving patient’s quality of life. This article comments on the key recommendations of this guideline in order to present the best possible algorithm for the treatment of acute and chronic diverticulitis.
