<p>With access to high-penetration distributed power sources, the topology, system operation mode, and current direction of the distribution network have been greatly changed, so traditional overcurrent protection has the problem of being difficult to protect. To solve the impact of distributed power sources on the overcurrent protection of distribution networks, this paper proposes an improved adaptive current protection method based on directional tissue-like P systems. The technique uses directional tissue-like P systems to establish fault diagnosis models, then establishes the adaptive fixed value calculation based on the fault point according to the fault location results, and realizes the correct action through the criterion of the protection fixed value. In this paper, a simulation model is built based on Matlab/Simulink, and a 10&#xa0;kV distribution network containing distributed power supply is selected for example verification. The experimental results show that the new protection scheme can realize the adaptive fixed value adjustment of the faulted line according to the fault localization results, and the protection can be selectively and reliably operated.</p>
