摘要

Though the literature established that males tend to display higher levels of entrepreneurial intention than females, the question of how to increase the entrepreneurial intention of females is still ambiguous and inconsistent. This study seeks to unveil the role of entrepreneurial education and the mechanisms through which entrepreneurial education increases the entrepreneurial intention of women. A sample of 315 business and technical students from Vietnam was used to analyze both the measurement and structural models. The results show that males are more likely to expose higher levels of entrepreneurial intention compared to females. Additionally, females benefit more from entrepreneurial education than males. Entrepreneurial education can facilitate the entrepreneurial passion and entrepreneurial mindset of females, which in turn foster their entrepreneurial intention. Managers and policymakers therefore should emphasize the role of entrepreneurial education programs in enhancing the entrepreneurial intention of females, balancing the entrepreneurial intention between genders, and increasing the entrepreneurial intention of students, individuals, and would-be entrepreneurs. In doing so, we could increase innovations and the creation of new jobs, accompanied by economic development.
