Parameters estimation of the Weibull law for reliability modeling of an equipment
摘要
Knowledge of the law of degradation of equipment during its life cycle is fundamental in decision-making on the choice of a maintenance policy. However, the modeling of this degradation is a function of a distribution of the operating times of the equipment. Among the existing distribution laws, Weilbull's law is very flexible in adjusting to different types of data. On the other hand, for a more approximate evaluation of the reliability of an equipment, it is judicious to know all the parameters of the law of Weibull. The objective of this paper is to study the reliability of industrial equipment, using a Weibull law with three parameters. The achievement of this objective requires a methodology which consists in implementing two statistical methods in the XLSTAT 2020 software, at the end of which one of them is chosen: the maximum likelihood method and the moments method. The result achieved is the prediction of a preventive maintenance policy.
