Two-stage group reliability acceptance sampling plan for Lindley distribution

In this article, we construct a two-stage group acceptance sampling plan when the life time follows Lindley distribution. In two stage group sampling plan a lot can be accepted in first or second stage based on the number of defective in each group. The Lindley distribution has infinite support. To utilise finite support, it has transformed into its unit form, i.e. having the support (0, 1). We obtain the minimum number of items in a lot and the minimum number of samples required for different group sizes and for several defectives under the constraint of satisfying the consumer risk. Two data sets are discussed and compared with an exponential distribution.
