<p>This study investigates the brain activity through EEG source localization and emotional correlates in response to a 6 Hz binaural beat. The experimental protocol involves a 6 Hz binaural beat superimposed on a 250 Hz carrier tone to twelve participants over a forty-five minute session. This study exclusively examines the effects of a 6 Hz binaural beat presented solely on a 250 Hz carrier, without the addition of meditative music. The key findings following binaural beat exposure include: (1) a consistent shift in source activation from the left to the right hemisphere; (2) dominant activations in the right-hemispheric dominance; (3) a decrease in frontal alpha asymmetry (FAA); (4) statistically insignificant changes in the P300 component; (5) a significant increase in negative affect, as measured by the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS); and (6) an increased theta/beta ratio.</p>
