Reliability analysis in multiple breakdown with controllable phase repair machining system

摘要

This investigation is about the reliability of a controlled repair system consisting of an unresponsive service station having frequent breakdown with O operating units and W warm standby units. The service station is vulnerable to breakdowns, due to this constraint the service station requires immediate repair facilities. Multiple breakdowns can happen while it is normally in operation. There are a limited number of phases of repair required for each type of breakdown. It is expected that service station`s repair, breakdown times are exponentially distributed. It is also presume that failure time and service time of operational or standby units all follow exponential distributions. Comparative analysis of reliability Ry(t) and Mean time to first failure (MTTFF) is executed. Probabilities of all the states are obtained for results. For numerical result, software MATLAB is used to make this model more appropriate. Practical justification of the system is also provided and matrix method is used for calculating the distribution of stationary queue length.
