摘要

Glaze-engobe is a new coating layer in the ceramic industry. However, there is no clarity about how the variables affect the planarity of the ceramic tiles produced with glaze-engobe. The aim of this research was to study the influence of the application layer (AL) and the firing shrinkage (FS) of the glaze-engobe in planarity at plate enameled porcelain tiles. A factorial experimental design was conducted, considering the AL and the FS as factors. The results indicated that the T3 (FS = 10.36% and AL = 180 g) and T4 (FS = 10.36% and AL = 200 g) presented the smallest deformation compared to the reference condition T5 (FS = 8.35% and AL = 190 g), and the condition T4 presented the best results (deformation = 5.78%). The characterizations techniques with higher detection sensitivity of planarity deviations were CMA and fleximetry, and the association with the brightness verification is ideal to assure the good visual analysis of the ceramic tiles.
