摘要

In today's competitive industrial landscape, maximizing asset efficiency is crucial for achieving global success. Organizations can significantly improve their operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and strengthen market competitiveness by optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that describe and show how efficiently a process is working must be used by industries to evaluate and improve the manufacturing operations. Among the various manufacturing KPIs, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a critical metric for evaluating machine performance. This study is mostly about how to use OPC UA (Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture) which is the standard for industrial communication in smart manufacturing settings to implement OEE. The study focuses on combining data from CNC machines with plant schedules to show how real-time OEE is calculated and find places where operational losses happen. The developed solution can be deployed either on-premises or in the cloud to automate the OEE calculation pr bocess. It provides insights that facilitate productivity gains and improvements in operational flow, which are key areas for enhancement. Key objectives of this implementation include creating real-time OEE formulations and conducting accurate data aggregation for in-depth analysis. The Central Manufacturing Technology Institute uses this solution in its Smart Manufacturing Demo and Development Cell. By leveraging real-time data and analytics, this approach provides benefits in both productivity and competitive advantage.
