摘要

Life satisfaction is a topic that affects every individual. The composition of life satisfaction can be different for each person and, above all, have different manifestations. Several studies could ensure a connection between life satisfaction and the faith in something, as for example God. So far no study exists which examines the different faiths separately. The present, quantitative study based on an Online-Survey with 286 participants. The article examines the correlation of an evangelical faith with the life satisfaction of the individual. Life satisfaction is split into personal and social aspects, and faith is presented in five dimensions: Orientation to biblical values, trust in God, practice of faith, subjective intensity of faith, and conception of God. The relationship between the various dimensions and life satisfaction is calculated using correlations and regressions. It turns out that there are low to medium correlations between life satisfaction and the dimensions of orientation towards biblical values, trust in God, subjective intensity of faith and conception of God. Fundamentally, this study shows that there is a positive correlation between Christian faith and life satisfaction.
