Assessment of Green Supply Chain Management Practices Using Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process

摘要

Earlier, the companies were only focused on production, quality, and profit-making. These were the goals of almost every company. There were very few companies who considered the impact of their products on the environment. They were unaware of the harmful activities that their product was doing directly or indirectly to the environment. Therefore, companies were forced to implement green practices in their supply chain for preventing the environmental impact in the global context. However, green supply chain management (GSCM) practices are now followed by companies for contributing to sustainability in the global competitive market. This paper aims to not only finding out the enablers of GSCM practices but also evaluating their ranking using the fuzzy analytical hierarch process (AHP). The fuzzy analytical hierarchy process is used to first make a hierarchy of the criterion or GSCM practices and then to give the weights to the criterion and then finally ranking them. The proposed methodology has been demonstrated by using a case study of India based micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The proposed methodology helps the decision-makers of MSMEs for implementing GSCM in their company.
