摘要

The alpha magnetic spectrometer is a precision particle detector mounted on the International Space Station since 2011. The transition radiation detector (TRD) has 20 layers of fleece radiator and straw tube filled with \(\hbox {Xe}/\hbox {CO}_{2}\) Xe / CO 2 gas mixture operating in proportional mode. The straw tubes provide position and \(\hbox {d}E/\hbox {d}X\) d E / d X measurements for nuclei events and can form a standalone TRD track. A TRD track reconstruction algorithm based on cellular automaton is developed, and an efficiency of > 95% is achieved for all nuclei species.
