Schwerpunkt: Wissenschaftsfreiheit unter Druck

Academic freedom is currently under pressure both in Germany and worldwide. The challenges are manifold but can be roughly divided into three complexes: firstly, there are contestations posed by political influence. Secondly, a growing economization and thirdly, an increasing moralization of science can be observed. These three complexes form a backdrop that currently appears to pose a serious threat to academic freedom. This ZPol-Focus analyses various facets of this complex situation and explores the question of how certain challenges and problems can be resolved.
