摘要
The article first explains the function of academic freedom against the background of the structural problems of the academic system. It then criticizes the fact that the current culture war in science distracts from these structural problems and makes collective action more difficult. In the concluding section, a dystopian and a utopian alternative to the current education and science system is outlined.
