First report of Colletotrichum godetiae causing anthracnose on wild blackberry (Rubus adenotrichos Schltdl.) in Mexico
摘要
Wild plants showed potential to serve as a reservoir of plant pathogens. Sampling was conducted in the state of Michoacan, Mexico, collecting leaves and stems from Rubus adenotrichos exhibiting anthracnose symptoms, such as circular necrotic lesions and the presence of acervuli. Morphological and molecular characterization were performed using the actin, histone 3, and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase genes. Phylogenetic reconstruction analyses confirmed that the isolate clustered with Colletotrichum godetiae. This is the first report of this species on Rubus adenotrichos in Mexico.
