<p>Tomato (<i>Solanum lycopersicum</i>) is a crop of great importance worldwide. In January 2023, highly prevalent leaf spot disease was detected in a greenhouse tomato crop in Guerrero, Mexico. The pathogen was isolated from leaf spot symptoms and identified morphologically and molecularly by analysis of the ITS, Actin, and EF-1α regions as <i>Cladosporium subuliforme</i>. Koch’s postulates were verified and fulfilled. To our knowledge, this is the first report of <i>C</i>. <i>subuliforme</i> causing leaf spot in tomato plants in Mexico and worldwide.</p>
