摘要

Objective The unexpected rise of AI technologies has triggered widespread concern. Considering that cognitive flexibility helps to think of alternative solutions to AI-related problems and adapt to complex AI tasks, it may alleviate AI anxiety by increasing AI self-efficacy and AI acceptance. The current study aimed to examine the mediating role of AI self-efficacy and AI acceptance in the relationship between cognitive flexibility and AI anxiety. Methods Data were collected from 677 participants. Mediation analysis was performed using PROCESS macro. Results The findings of this study demonstrated that cognitive flexibility positively predicted AI self-efficacy and AI acceptance and negatively predicted AI anxiety. It also found that AI self-efficacy and AI acceptance mediated the relationship between cognitive flexibility and AI anxiety. Conclusion The results of the current study underscored that cognitive flexibility alleviates AI anxiety through enhancing AI self-efficacy and AI acceptance. This study suggests that cognitive flexibility-based target strategies may alleviate AI anxiety through supporting AI self-efficacy and AI acceptance.
