摘要

To a large extent Kafka’s 1920 engagement with the »Zürau Aphorisms« represents a critical commentary on both the content of individual pieces of the Zürau microtext production and the thought from which these pieces arose. This contribution focuses on the two texts of sheet 99 because they document the different status of biblical tradition and theological thought in Kafka’s life and writing in 1917/18 and 1920, respectively. More generally, this contribution argues with regard to Kafka’s posthumously published writings for (a) an abstention from speculating, explicitly or implicitly, about Kafka’s intentions regarding the publication of a literary work of art, and (b) the recognition of the situational particularity and richness of Kafka’s acts of writing.
