»was ists?« Philologie, Metrik und Krieg in Rilkes »Fünf Gesängen« (1914)
摘要
At the beginning of the First World War, Rainer Maria Rilke wrote down a sequence of five poems in his copy of the preprint of Friedrich Hölderlin’s late poetry in Norbert von Hellingrath’s edition. These poems, influenced by Hölderlin’s poetry in autonomous meter, have been understood as hymns in ›free meter‹ in scholarship on Rilke. However, they transgress the confines of genre between hymnic, epic, and elegiac literature and prove to be a progressing formal reflection of war poetry.
