The declining ability and willingness to read literary texts is a recurring theme in critical essays of the german New Right. My article analyses the strategic functions of such narratives of crises and places them in the broader horizon of new-right literature concepts. Affects and emotions form an important part of these reflections, especially in the Jungeuropa-Verlag podcast Von rechts gelesen, that tries to establish a specific ›young‹ branding of New Right literature.
