<p>In this article, a&#xa0;corpus hermeneutic analysis of the usage characteristics of the uncertainty-marking word forms of precaution, risk and danger (including composites) in the discourse on negative effects of mobile phone radiation is carried out. The focus is on the functions of the additional hedging uncertainty markers of these words, e.g. possible risk. The underlying corpus texts are courses of interaction in online communities that cover a&#xa0;spectrum from more general to topic-specific forums and also contain follow-up communication in the form of comments on online newspaper texts and science blogs - in addition to the initial journalistic articles and blog posts. In addition, comparative corpora from newspaper texts and political debates will be included.</p>
