<p>This study investigates the length-weight relationships (LWRs) and condition factors of seven commercially important fish species (<i>Chrysochir aurea</i>,<i> Gerres filamentosus</i>,<i> Gerres oyena</i>,<i> Pomadasys maculatus</i>,<i> Sardinella fimbriata</i>,<i> Saurida undosquamis</i>, and <i>Trachinocephalus trachinus</i>) from Central Vietnam (South China Sea) during the dry season. A total of 613 specimens were collected from four locations. Standard LWR parameters were estimated, and growth type (isometric or allometric) was determined. The condition factor was calculated to assess physiological well-being, and relative weight was used to compare the population’s condition to a global benchmark. Most species exhibited isometric growth (<i>b</i> ≈ 3), while <i>Gerres oyena</i> showed significant negative allometry (<i>b</i> = 2.76) and <i>Trachinocephalus trachinus</i> showed significant positive allometry (<i>b</i> = 3.27). The condition factor increased with length for five species but decreased for <i>Gerres oyena</i> and <i>Pomadasys maculatus</i>. Relative weight analysis indicated that only <i>Chrysochir aurea</i> and <i>Gerres filamentosus</i> had median values above 100%, suggesting better condition, while the other five species had median values below 100%, indicating potential environmental stress. The findings provide crucial baseline biological data for these poorly studied species, indicating possible seasonal stress with direct implications for fisheries management and ecosystem monitoring.</p>
