<p>The present paper confirms the presence of <i>Laemodonta punctigera</i> (H. Adams and A. Adams <CitationRef CitationID="CR1">1854</CitationRef>) from India, based on the live individuals collected from Junput and Tajpur, West Bengal. It was collected from the roots of healthy-grown mangroves along the north-western coast of the Bay of Bengal. The identification was confirmed by examining the morphological characteristics. A checklist and the detailed distribution of ellobiid pulmonate snails within the Indian region are also presented.</p>

摘要

The present paper confirms the presence of Laemodonta punctigera (H. Adams and A. Adams 1854) from India, based on the live individuals collected from Junput and Tajpur, West Bengal.
