摘要

In this work, Zn-Cu, Ba-Cu and Ca-Cu based pyrophosphate were synthesized through a solid-state approach. In order to fully comprehend the structural and functional characteristics, UV-vis, XRD, SEM/EDX and FTIR analyses were performed on catalysts. The photocatalytic performance of the prepared catalysts was evaluated by methyl orange (MO) photodegradation under UV irradiation. The findings of the characterisation show a well-crystallized structure. As the aggregates form, the SEM and EDX show irregularly shaped particles. The obtained samples present band gap between 2.90 and 3.06 eV, indicating an important photocatalytic application. The experimental results display that the zinc-based phosphate photocatalyst exhibits the highest photocatalytic activity against MO photodegradation.
